We offer consulting services in the following areas…
Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and management for results (MfR)
If you’re an implementer of one or more projects aimed at creating positive social impact – whether those projects are at the international, regional, national, sub-national, or community level, and whether they are funded by individuals, groups, non-profits, corporates, foundations, governments, international agencies, or other entities – we* at RM3 are here to serve you with monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and, more broadly, management for results (MfR) services. We craft effective M&E frameworks to support your project’s achievement of transformational results.
You might work for a private consulting firm, a corporate foundation, a government agency, an international development agency, or a non-profit – regardless – our approach is one that is aimed at producing bespoke frameworks and tools that are practical to apply and that yield the information you need, when you need it, in order to support your strategic programming, management, learning, accountability, and communication objectives. Even for complex programs.
We also support you in the related areas of data quality assurance, results reporting, and M&E/MfR capacity-building. This is in line with our broad view of the role of monitoring and evaluation as being not only about results measurement and management but about engaging across the program/project cycle to ensure the maximization of sustainable results.
Below is a non-exhaustive list that provides some examples of the specific M&E/MfR-related functions the we can carry out for you:
- general project implementation and leadership;
- drafting specifications and budgets for M&E-related assignments such as surveys, data quality reviews, and evaluations;
- vetting technical and financial proposals and providing input on related contracts;
- developing robust Theories of Change and related measurement frameworks;
- designing project-specific frameworks for assessing value-for-money (VfM);
- designing, reviewing, updating, and implementing M&E plans;
- drafting M&E guidance and supporting related compliance;
- carrying out evaluative assessments, ranging from light-touch reviews and assessments (including value-for-money (VfM) assessments) to full-scale evaluations using various design approaches and data collection methods and tools;
- conducting data quality reviews; and
- results reporting targeted at diverse audiences such as governing boards and other oversight entities, community members, government officials, donors, media, and other affected and/or interested individuals or groups to allow systematic reflection on progress for purposes of management, accountability, and learning and adaptation.
Communications services
Our communications services focus on supporting the dissemination of your project’s results.
We prepare and/or provide feedback on reports, presentations, brochures, articles, and other results communication products, tailoring them to different target audiences, whether donors, taxpayers, beneficiaries, or other individuals or groups affected by and/or interested in the project.
Additional communications-related services include proofreading/quality-checking and formatting of reports and other documents. In addition, we provide French-to-English translation services.
NOTES:
*The royal “we” used on this website and on other RM3 Consulting platforms mostly refers to me, Kandi Shejavali, M&E/MfR nerd and sole owner of RM3 Consulting. The “we” is used not only for enhanced noun/pronoun agreement but also to convey the eventuality of putting a team together in the case of assignments necessitating a team rather than an individual expert.
